About Me

If I'm not working on an article, I'm digging around for new music. Music and art have been an integral part of my upbringing from my time on dance teams as a kid to the hours I've spent interning at the campus radio station. As I'm picking up more responsibilities across my campus, I've looked to keep music and culture at the forefront of my career exploration. With art's power to reframe how we see the world, maintaining ties to its sources allows me to constantly develop my view of the world around me.

As I've covered various niches and communities over the course of my work, I have taken time to reflect on my own. Being a South Asian of Indian descent, using my voice and writing ability to portray my experience has become more than just a priority. Through my coverage, I've been learning how best to expand that voice to uplift and stand with other marginalized communities, which has opened my eyes to the commonalities between myself and the world around me.

My goal is to combine my affinity for the arts and creativity with the impactful messaging behind modern and historical social movements. Whether that's through the lens of cultural art and coverage or photography and documentation of the changing world remains to be seen, but what I can say is that I'm more than excited to continue on this path.
